Getting started
Hotel pickup or meet at National Museum metro station. Arrive 10 minutes early. The drive south to Mesaieed takes 45 minutes. Your driver briefs you on the day's activities during the ride.
Dune bashing
Enter the dunes near Sealine Beach. Your Land Cruiser climbs 40-meter faces and descends steep slopes for 30 minutes. Tell your driver if you want gentler intensity—most accommodate requests.
Sandboarding
Stop at a tall dune for sandboarding. Boards are provided. Guides demonstrate technique: feet shoulder-width, knees bent, lean back slightly. Climb back up between runs—no lift. This segment lasts 30 minutes.
Khor Al Adaid (Inland Sea)
Drive to Khor Al Adaid, where the Arabian Gulf extends 10km inland between dunes. This UNESCO reserve is one of only three places on Earth where sea meets desert directly. Photo stop lasts 15 minutes. Wade into shallow water or climb dunes for views.
Camel rides
Return to camp for 10-minute camel rides. Handlers lead each camel on a controlled circuit. Camels kneel for mounting and dismounting. Not recommended for pregnant guests or those with back/neck injuries. Handlers manage photo opportunities efficiently.
Quad biking
Move to the quad bike circuit. Instructors provide helmets, goggles, and a safety briefing covering throttle control, braking, and turning. Designated track covers flat sand and gentle slopes—suitable for beginners. Ride lasts 30 minutes. Quads are automatic transmission. Minimum age typically 16 years; confirm with operator.
